Vättaks kyrka is a wooden church at Vättak, in Tidaholm municipality, part of Valstads församling in the Diocese of Skara. It replaced a medieval stone church of unknown appearance and was built in 1717–1718 on the initiative of the local vicar.

The medieval stone church that once stood here was demolished gradually as the new timber church rose on its old foundations, reportedly at the instigation of provost Martinus Seth (named as Martin Seth in another source). Built by master builder Ingemar Påvelsson, it follows a cross-shaped plan with a low tower over the crossing, added in the 1720s. The roofs are covered with tarred wooden shingles, and the walls have been whitewashed since the nineteenth century.

The interior is baroque in character, its ceiling covered with painted biblical scenes completed in the mid-1750s by a Skövde-based painter, whose name appears as either Jonas or Johan Risberg in different sources. These paintings were overpainted in 1871 and later, during a restoration in 1995, the original eighteenth-century colour scheme was uncovered again.

Among the furnishings, the sandstone font is thought to date from the twelfth century, with a carved font angel above it added later—one source dates the angel to 1765 and names its maker as Jöns Lindberg of Sandhem. The altarpiece, depicting the Crucifixion, was brought here after the church at Ettak was abandoned; sources differ slightly on the date of this move. Both the altarpiece and the elaborately carved pulpit of 1722 are attributed to the sculptor Jonas Ullberg of Velinga.

The church organ has a layered history: built around 1867–1869 by the organist and amateur organ-builder Per Adolf Holmqvist of Liared, it was bought secondhand from Trävattna kyrka in 1895 and later expanded from three to five stops, with a further rebuild carried out by Nordfors & Co.

A separate wooden bell-frame stands in the churchyard, still rung by hand. The larger bell was recast in 1698 in Jönköping, while the smaller was cast in 1748 in Skara; a slight weight discrepancy appears between sources.
