Frinnaryds kyrka is a medieval parish church near Aneby in Jönköping County, Sweden, believed to have been built during the first half of the 1200s. It retains its original chancel and semicircular apse, though the building has since seen considerable alteration.

The church was originally built of granite, comprising a nave, chancel and apse. A sacristy was added on the north side of the chancel in the 1300s. According to Wikipedia, the medieval church was destroyed by fire after a lightning strike in 1659 and later rebuilt on the surviving walls, though this dramatic episode is not mentioned in the Platser source, so it should be treated with some caution.

The nave was extended westwards in 1858, when a porch was added and window openings altered. The present west tower dates from 1888–89, designed by the architect Hugo Hammarsköld (his name is spelled slightly differently in the two sources). It has round-arched, Romanesque-inspired openings, a clock, and a closed lantern topped with a spire; an older bell tower to the south of the chancel was demolished once the new tower was completed.

Outside, the walls are roughcast with smooth-rendered corner pilasters, window surrounds and mouldings, beneath a steep tiled roof. Traces of earlier window and door openings can still be seen in the render of the south wall. Inside, the nave has a vaulted, plastered ceiling, while the chancel retains a white-painted wooden ceiling.

The present interior largely reflects a 1969 restoration led by architect Erik Lundberg, which introduced new pews, a new altar, underfloor heating and re-plastered walls and ceilings. Older furnishings surviving from earlier periods include a medieval triumphal crucifix, a font dated to the early 1200s, and a Neoclassical pulpit with a canopy decorated with gilded emblems. The chancel window, showing the Resurrection, was made in 1921 by the Berlin glass-painting firm Puhl & Wagner.

The organ has a history of its own: a gallery organ was built in 1858 by Erik Nordström of Fliseryd, rebuilt in 1949, and fitted with an entirely new mechanical organ works by Jehmlich Orgelbau of Dresden in 1969, while retaining its older, well-preserved case.
