Västra Hoby kyrka stands in the village of Västra Hoby in Skåne, serving as the parish church of Torns församling within the Church of Sweden. Its plain whitewashed exterior conceals a medieval survival and a striking painted altar cabinet.

The present church dates largely from 1886, when the old parish church was mostly demolished and rebuilt to designs by Ludvig Hedin, with the Malmö builder P. Sjunnesson carrying out the work. Only the tower survived from the earlier medieval building, making it the oldest visible part of the complex. The new church was built with a stepped-gable tower, a nave and an apse, and was finished in a whitewashed style loosely echoing Romanesque architecture.

The most notable furnishing is a fifteenth-century oak altar cabinet, once kept at the Kulturhistoriska museet in Lund before returning to the church. It is divided into nineteen carved fields: the left-hand panels depict scenes from the childhood of Christ, including the circumcision, the adoration of the Magi, the massacre of the innocents and the flight into Egypt, while a larger central panel shows the crucifixion, flanked by scenes from the Passion.

The font is medieval, carved from sandstone with a rounded, bulbous form, some parts of which retain traces of red colouring. It holds a brass baptismal dish dating from the seventeenth century. The altarpiece itself is more recent: a copy of Carl Bloch's painting of Christ with a boy, executed in oil by Hjalmar Berggren in 1886.

The organ has an unusual history. The current gallery instrument was built in 1904 by Eskil Lundén of Gothenburg for the church at Odarslöv, in the same parish. When Odarslöv's church was withdrawn from use in 2002, the decision was made to preserve its organ, and after restoration work it was installed in Västra Hoby in 1904, fitting into the older 1886 organ case, with the gallery slightly extended to accommodate it.
