Hejde kyrka is a medieval parish church on Gotland, built in stages from the mid-13th century. It combines a low nave with a west tower and a taller east chancel, and preserves notable medieval carving, glass and wall paintings.

The church's oldest parts, the nave and tower, date from around the mid-13th century, likely replacing an earlier timber or stone building. The present chancel, larger than its Romanesque predecessor, was built in the 14th century, when the tower was also raised; a sacristy was added in 1795. The tower's rounded, colonnetted sound-openings and side galleries recall those at Sanda and Eskelhem churches, suggesting a shared local building tradition.

The whitewashed exterior is capped with steep gabled roofs, and the tower is crowned by a spire. Among the church's most striking external features are its two elaborate south portals; the chancel portal is considered one of the finer examples on Gotland. Inside, the nave has a ribbed vault, an unusual feature for Gotland churches, while the chancel's pointed triumphal arch and tent vaults reflect the later Gothic style of its construction.

Decorative medieval wall paintings survive in both parts of the church: ornamental designs in the nave date from around the mid-13th century, with further painted decoration in the chancel vault from the following century. The large chancel window retains medieval stained glass, thought to date from the later 14th century, depicting scenes from the Creation and the life of Christ, according to Wikipedia.

The church holds a number of notable furnishings. A richly carved sandstone font dates from the mid-12th century, attributed to the so-called Byzantios master. A triumphal crucifix is thought to have been carved in northern Germany in the first half of the 16th century. The sandstone altarpiece, depicting the Last Supper, was made in 1684 in Burgsvik, and the early 18th-century pulpit was later repainted with a canopy bearing the monogram of King Gustav III. An organ gallery and later organs, including a 1923 pneumatic instrument and a small 1982 mechanical chancel organ, complete the church's furnishings, though sources differ on some details of the earlier 19th-century organ history.

The church has undergone several restorations, recorded in the 20th century, including work in the 1930s and again in the 1970s and 1980s, reflecting ongoing care for its medieval fabric.
