Lye kyrka is a medieval church in the village of Lye on Gotland, within Garde parish. Standing on Gotland's rich landscape of stone churches, it is notable for its exceptional medieval stained glass and painted decoration, both rare survivals from the island's mediaeval past.

The church was built in stages: the nave dates from the late 1100s, the tower from around 1240, and the chancel was added in 1325, with the tower raised in height to match the new chancel. This staged construction is typical of Gotland's medieval churches, which were frequently extended and remodelled over the centuries.

At the tower's west portal is a relic chest decorated with reliefs attributed to the twelfth-century carver Sighrafr, a rare named craftsman from this early period.

The interior retains numerous wall paintings from the 1300s, 1400s and 1500s. Most remarkable is the chancel's stained glass, created by the so-called Lye Master in the fourteenth century, said to form the largest surviving suite of medieval stained glass in the Nordic countries — a claim worth treating with appropriate care, but one that underlines the significance of the glass to visitors interested in medieval art.

Among the church's furnishings are a thirteenth-century font, an altar cabinet dated to 1496, and a fifteenth-century triumphal crucifix hung above the chancel arch. The pulpit was made in 1705, adding a later, more restrained note to the medieval interior.

The organ, built in 1900 by the Stockholm firm Åkerman & Lund, is a mechanical instrument still housed in the church, a modest but historically interesting addition to a building otherwise dominated by its medieval fabric.
