Ströms kyrka, in Strömsund in Jämtland, is the parish church of Ström-Alanäs. Consecrated in 1847, it replaced a small medieval church that had become too small for the growing congregation, and it retains several older furnishings alongside later restorations.

The present building was long in the making. The parish decided as early as 1816 that a larger church was needed, and a site was agreed in 1818, but construction stalled for years due to poor harvests and other setbacks. Work finally began in earnest in 1845 under master builder Frans Agaton Lindstein, using the traditional system of compulsory parish labour, and the church was in use by December 1846 before its formal consecration in September 1847. The old medieval church, dating from around 1300, was demolished in the 1850s.

Architecturally the church is described as a typical example of the plain, elongated "Tegnérlada" style common to Swedish churches of this period. It is enclosed by a limestone wall from 1939 with wrought-iron gates, and has a west entrance, a smaller south door, and a sacristy entrance to the east. The roof was originally iron plate, replaced with copper in 1979, while the tower clock, a private gift from a local donor, was installed in 1918. A major restoration in 1928, led by architect Anders Ekman, brought new decoration and furnishings.

Among the most notable objects is a wooden altar cabinet from the late 1400s, moved from the old church, depicting the Virgin and Child with saints including Olav the Holy; it is thought to be the work of a leading medieval Norrland woodcarver. A late-Baroque altarpiece from 1759, also rescued from the old church, shows the Last Supper beneath a crucifix and a sun motif. Other older survivals include a set of stocks from 1698 and a Bible said to have belonged to Charles XII.

Much of the current furniture, including the altar, pulpit, pews and organ-loft columns, was made in 1848 by a local former soldier turned craftsman. Four chandeliers of varying age and materials hang in the church, the oldest bought in 1765, and the altarpiece painting of the Transfiguration dates from the 1928 restoration. The church has had several organs over the years, with the present 26-stop instrument installed in 1973 by the Hammarberg organ-building firm of Gothenburg; a smaller choir organ was later brought in from the old graveyard chapel when that building was demolished in the early 1980s.

The church tower holds four bells, the oldest recast from a medieval original, and the bells have been electrically rung since 1944.
