Diocese of Växjö

Sanna kyrka is a small twentieth-century church in Jönköping, Sweden, now perhaps better known as the home of a preschool than for regular worship. Its modest wooden building nonetheless retains its original chancel and church interior.

The church was built in 1929 to designs by the architect Oskar Öberg. It belongs to Jönköping parish within the Diocese of Växjö.

The interior is simple, centred on a chancel containing the pulpit, altar and font. A curtain can be drawn to separate this area from the rest of the church room when required.

In November 2001 the parish council of Jönköpings Kristina församling decided to hand over part of the building to a Christian preschool, a use that reportedly continues alongside occasional services held in the small church room.

A mechanical organ was built for the church in 1969 by the Anders Persson organ workshop in Viken, a modest instrument fitting the church's intimate scale.
