Järnskogs kyrka, in Järnskog parish near Koppom in Värmland, is a stone church consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent in 1699. It replaced an earlier wooden church, thought to have been medieval in origin, that stood on the site before it.

Local tradition holds that the parish's first church was raised at the end of the 14th century on the farmstead Stommen by the Köla river, roughly a kilometre southwest of the present church. The stone building seen today, with its rectangular nave and three-sided chancel, was constructed between 1695 and 1699 under master mason Johan Nilsson. A west tower followed, built over the years 1707 to 1729, and a sacristy was added to the east side in 1835.

The church's whitewashed nave walls sit beneath a steep saddle roof that is hipped over the three-sided east end. The tower's present neoclassical upper stage dates from designs of the mid-19th century, variously attributed to 1854 or, according to another account, to 1859 and the architect Johan Fredrik Åbom. Inside, the nave is covered by a wooden barrel vault.

The interior's colour scheme was altered in the late 19th century, but 20th-century restorations, including work overseen by architects Kurt von Schmalensee in 1930 and Einar Lundberg in 1949, aimed to recover something closer to the church's 18th-century appearance. In 1966 the foundations were reinforced after concerns that the nave was leaning.

Among the fittings, the altarpiece and pulpit are notable works of 1746 by the sculptor Isac Schullström, who was much employed in churches across Värmland. The church also has an organ originally installed in 1896 by E. A. Setterquist & Son, later rebuilt and enlarged in 1947, and a smaller mechanical chancel organ added in 1988.

About a kilometre southwest of the church lies Järnskog's disused old churchyard, marking the site of the earlier church and burial ground used until 1699. A memorial stone was raised there in 1878, inscribed with a commemorative Swedish text recalling the site's history and offering peace to the dead.
