Lenhovda kyrka stands in the village of Lenhovda in Kronoberg county, part of the Lenhovda-Herråkra parish in the Diocese of Växjö. This nineteenth-century stone church replaced a medieval predecessor and still houses several older furnishings of note.

An earlier medieval church once stood a short distance to the west; it was demolished, though the old churchyard remained in use as a burial ground. The present church was built between 1839 and 1843 in a neoclassical style, to designs by Carl-Gustaf Blom-Carlsson. It came into use in 1843 and was formally consecrated in 1846 by Bishop Christopher Isac Heurlin.

The building follows a simple, orderly plan: a rectangular nave with a chancel to the east and a tower to the west, with a rounded sacristy extension beyond the chancel. The rendered exterior walls are painted a pale grey-yellow, the roof is covered in copper sheeting, and the tower is topped with a square wooden lantern painted yellow and white. Entrances are placed at the base of the tower and on the north and south sides of the nave.

Despite the church's relatively recent construction, several furnishings are considerably older, carried over from the earlier building or acquired separately. The font, carved from red Öland limestone, was donated in 1658, and its brass basin is a German work from the sixteenth century. A triumphal crucifix is dated to around 1200, making it by far the oldest object in the church. The large church bell is also medieval in origin. The altarpiece, made in 1748 by Peter Segervall, originally stood in the earlier church before being transferred to the new building.

Other fittings, including the pulpit with its sounding board, the organ gallery and the enclosed pews, were designed by Blom-Carlsson as part of the coherent nineteenth-century scheme. The church has had a succession of organs, the first built in 1849 by Johannes Magnusson of Lemnhult, with later rebuilds in 1926 and 1964; the present main organ retains the 1849 case front by Blom-Carlsson within a later mechanical instrument. A smaller mechanical chancel organ was added in 1983.
