Eds kyrka is a parish church in Eds församling, part of Sollefteå pastorate in Härnösands stift, standing beside the Ångermanälven a short distance north of Sollefteå. Its medieval origins and later rebuildings make it a modest but historically layered rural church.

The original church is thought to have been built sometime in the medieval period, possibly the 15th century, as a small, almost square building that was later enlarged in the late Middle Ages. In the 18th century it was repaired and extended westwards by the Sundsvall church-builder Simon Geting, and a timber sacristy was added on the north side, probably in the 1760s. A planned west tower and east sacristy, drawn up in 1827 by Geting's son Lars David Geting, were never built. Instead, between 1888 and 1890 a narrower chancel was constructed to the east, and it was around this time that the gable blind arcading seen today was added.

The church now consists of a nave, chancel and sacristy, with whitewashed exterior walls and a sheet-metal gabled roof. Inside, the ceiling is a panelled coved form with partly visible roof timbers, and a curved chancel arch separates the nave from the chancel. A group of three windows in the chancel holds stained glass created in 1927 to a design by Yngve Lundström. The freestanding bell tower dates from the 1730s, was rebuilt in 1775, and gained sound louvres in 1810.

Among the older fittings are a medieval bronze incense censer and a wooden figure of the Virgin Mary, while a late-medieval altar cabinet from the church is now kept at the Murberget county museum. The pulpit, with its sounding board, was made by a carpenter known as Jon sometime between 1700 and 1705; it was repainted in 1749 by Erik Fällström and partly remodelled around 1890. An organ with 16 stops across two manuals was built in 1947 by E. A. Setterquist & Son of Örebro.

The site itself has an interesting pre-Christian backdrop: before land uplift reduced the rapids at Sollefteå, the more formidable Forsmoforsen nearby was the first obstacle to river navigation, likely making Ed a natural meeting and trading place. It is thought, though not proven, that the church's location may have succeeded an older pagan cult site. No pagan finds have been recorded within the churchyard itself, but several Viking-age burial mounds lie a few hundred metres upstream; some were destroyed during a bridge construction in the 1930s, when finds including an iron spearhead and arrowheads were recovered nearby.

Over the 20th and 21st centuries the church and churchyard have seen a series of restorations, including a major 1893 rebuilding that enlarged the chancel and changed the roof profile, a 1964 restoration that altered the colour scheme and roof covering, and further works to walls, drainage and paintwork continuing into the 2020s, including an exterior renovation completed in 2023.
