Björkviks kyrka is a parish church in Björkviks församling, Södermanlands län, part of the Church of Sweden's Strängnäs stift. The present building dates from the 1870s, though it replaced a much older medieval predecessor, and its history includes a dramatic fire.

The current church was built in the 1870s in a Gothic Revival style typical of the period, designed by architect Per Ulrik Stenhammar and consecrated in 1875. It stands on a north–south axis, with the tower to the north and the chancel to the south, and broad transept arms extending east and west, with the sacristy tucked into the angle between the chancel and the western transept.

Disaster struck on 6 November 1900, when the church was destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt under the direction of architect Fritz Eckert and reconsecrated in 1902, essentially in the form visitors see today: a light, airy and harmonious interior. Because of the cross-shaped plan, a christening chapel sits to one side and a smaller devotional chapel to the other.

Among the furnishings is an altarpiece dating from the 1700s, carved by the sculptor Gabriel Beutin and originally from Hjälsta kyrka in Uppland; sources note it depicts figures including Peter and Paul. The font, worked in Gotland sandstone, dates from 1949, and behind it hangs a woven tapestry composed in 1965. Two eighteenth-century antependia are displayed in the western transept, and the church also holds a fine Steinway grand piano.

An organ built in 1903 by E. A. Setterquist & Son of Örebro, with thirteen stops across two manuals and pedal, was inspected and approved shortly after installation.

The medieval church that preceded this one stood nearby and was, by the time of its own destruction by fire in 1869, reportedly the largest in Södermanland county. That fire began when a spark from the rectory ignited the sacristy roof; parishioners managed to save the church silver, vestments, antependia and the parish archive, though the pulpit, an older altarpiece and a seventeenth-century memorial tablet were lost. The ruins of the old church were conserved in 1936 and are said to be used occasionally for open-air services.
