The church was built in 1973 to designs by the architect Janne Feldt. Kroppkärrskyrkan is a building complex which, in addition to the church itself, also contains other premises for various parish activities, partly extended in 1985. The different building volumes form a three-sided enclosed entrance courtyard. The church is built of wood and has a rectangular plan. Two halls have a retractable end wall allowing them to be connected with the church hall.
The exterior of the church is marked by steep roof slopes clad in eternite shingles. The roof ridge has horizontal light openings beneath dome coverings. Low window bands are set at the eaves. The angled ceiling of the church hall has an exposed roof truss of laminated timber. The church has a free-standing bell tower with a bell bearing the inscription: Kom, kom här finner Du en rastplats på väg till paradiset (Come, come, here you will find a resting place on the way to paradise).
The altarpiece, a three-part tapestry, was woven by the artist Ethel Halvarsson. She has also created the pulpit cloth, the chancel carpet and the fabric on the kneeling stools. In the centre aisle of the church hangs a votive ship made by the late vicar of Norrstrand parish, Georg Elinder.
