The church room
On the north nave wall are two of the three paintings that made up the reredos decoration until the major restoration of 1954-1955. The paintings depict Moses with the tablets of the law and John the Baptist with a cross-staff in his hand and a lamb in his arms. These paintings were placed on either side of the large altarpiece, which now hangs above the door to the sacristy. The artist is August Jansson.
The pulpit
The pulpit, made of Ekeberg marble, is carved by the sculptor Clarence Blum. The four main motifs are taken from the story of Christ's Passion. The six supporting pillars each show a family consisting of mother, father, son and daughter. From whichever direction one views the pulpit, one can see "the whole family".
The pulpit was financed through a donation by the couple Ragnar and Ingeborg Kempe.
Under the ceiling hangs a dove, carved in wood by the sculptor Nils Kristofersson. The dove symbolises the Holy Spirit. On the pulpit stands an hourglass in genuine silver, donated by the relatives of the late sea captain O A Melin.
The altarpiece
The large reredos painting is executed by the artist Sigurd Möller. The motif is taken from Jesus's parable of the Great Banquet, Luke chapter 14. In total, around a hundred figures appear in the painting.
The baptismal area
Here stands the church's "old" font, carved by A F Berg. A small baptismal altar has been placed behind the font. The altar table is a gift from the Church Youth Circle and the Junior Group, 1954.
The baptismal area is screened from the chancel steps by a brass railing depicting a guardian angel. Made by the metalsmith Per Ingvarsson after a design by the artist Torsten Nordberg. The railing was partly funded through a gift from the Red Cross and Åke Sund.
The rya rug at the baptismal area was donated by the Örnsköldsvik branch of the White Ribbon (Vita Bandet) in 1954.
