Kuttainen bönhus: Kuttainen prayer house in the village of Kuttainen, east of Karesuando.

Kuttainen is one of the villages in the Karesuando area and is situated on the border river with Finland. The village has around 400 inhabitants, of whom about 140 are children aged 0-15.

Services are held in the prayer house every Sunday at 11.00 and 17.00. At Pentecost and All Saints' weekends, large gatherings are held, attended by around 450 people.

History

Kuttainen's new prayer house was inaugurated on Whit Monday, 30 May 1966.

The prayer house was later extended in 1978-79 by around 100 square metres, with a service room on the basement level.

In 1999, construction began on a new service building of 210 square metres. This contains a serving and gathering hall as well as a kitchen.
