The church was constructed in 1946 to designs by the architect Bertil Mattsson. It stands as a simple wooden building with a rectangular nave running north to south, a straight-ended chancel at the southern end, and a tower with porch and main entrance to the north. The tower roof is topped with an open lantern and a cross, giving the building a distinctive silhouette against the surrounding landscape.
The exterior walls are clad in pale yellowish-grey horizontal timber panelling, and the steeply pitched roof of the nave is covered with wooden shingles, both typical features of church buildings in this part of northern Sweden.
Inside, the walls and ceiling are lined with grey fibreboard. The central section of the ceiling has a barrel vault, flanked by narrower side sections with lower ceilings, separated from the centre by marbled columns. The floor is parquet, and the church retains open pews. A notable decorative feature is the gallery barrier, painted by Bertil Linné.
