The chapel was built in 1960 to designs by the architect Johannes Dahl, with construction completed in early 1961. Its walls were built with a brick structural frame. A sacristy was added in 1979, constructed of lightweight concrete blocks rather than brick, giving the building a mixed material history despite its relatively short lifespan.
A freestanding bell tower stands near the chapel, erected in 1965 to a design drawn up earlier by Erik Persson in 1953. The gap between design and construction is not explained in the available sources.
Inside, the octagonal font is made of varnished oak, a simple but characterful piece of mid-century church furnishing. The altar decoration is a textile hanging composed by engineer Erik Persson of Tranås and woven in 1979 by Kristine Packalén, its design inspired by a New Testament verse concerning resurrection and life. An electric organ also stands in the chapel, though no details of its build or maker are recorded in the sources available.
