This is a relatively modern parish church, built with a timber frame set out on a broad, low plan. At the heart of the complex sits the main worship space, marked out from the surrounding building by its steeply pitched roof. The exterior walls combine yellow timber panelling with red brick, while the roof itself is covered in slate, giving the building a distinctive textured look against the Norrbotten landscape.
Inside, the atmosphere is created largely through natural materials and colour. The ceiling is lined with timber panelling and supported on laminated wood beams, while the interior walls are finished in pale blue plasterboard. The floor is laid with ceramic tiles, and fixed pews are arranged in open blocks rather than a single continuous run, giving the space a slightly informal, adaptable feel.
The artistic scheme for the church interior was devised by the artist Tora Ceder. Near the chancel, visitors can look out for a depiction of migrating birds, and the chancel wall itself carries further artwork by Arne Bäckström, adding a contemplative focal point to an otherwise plain, modern interior.
Outside the church stands a freestanding bell tower of open timber construction, a common feature of many twentieth-century Swedish parish churches and a good vantage point for appreciating the building's overall design.
The church organ, built by Grönlunds Orgelbyggeri of Gammelstaden, was installed in 1988 and has ten stops across two manuals and pedal.
