Botsmarks kyrka stands at the heart of the village of Botsmark in Västerbotten, a modest wooden church that has served the local community since the mid-twentieth century as a setting for both everyday parish life and family occasions.

The church was built in 1940 to a design by the architect Kjell Wretling, replacing the need for parishioners to rely on the older burial ground across the Sävar river, where an earlier churchyard remains. A new churchyard beside the church itself was consecrated in 1958.

The building has a rectangular plan with a narrower, projecting chancel, constructed in timber with round-arched windows and a tiled saddle roof. The exterior is finished in standing wooden panelling painted white, giving the church a simple, restrained appearance typical of many Swedish rural churches of its period.

Inside, the walls are covered in masonite and painted a grey-green tone, while the ceiling is finished in blue-green wood panelling. The ceiling is flat above the chancel and central nave but slopes over the side sections. The church retains its original wooden flooring and fixed pew seating. In 1945 the architect's brother, David Wretling, created the altarpiece and font, adding a personal craft connection to the building's design.

The church's organ has a mixed history: an instrument of 12 stops across two manuals and pedal was built in 1947 by E. A. Setterquist & Son Eftr. of Örebro, while a further organ of 18 stops was installed in 1978 by Grönlunds Orgelbyggeri. Visitors with an interest in church organs may find this succession of instruments worth noting, though records of the intervening changes are limited.

Today the church continues to serve as a focal point for the Sävar-Holmön parish, hosting services roughly once a month alongside baptisms, weddings, funerals and other community gatherings, much as it has done since it opened over eighty years ago.
