Öreryds kyrka is a timber church at Öreryd in Gislaved municipality, Jönköping county, within Norra Hestra parish. Consecrated in 1750, it stands on the old Nissastigen route and has diocesan links that have shifted over time, most recently to Växjö stift.

A church at Öreryd is first mentioned in documents from 1540, probably a medieval timber building. Repairs were carried out in the 1680s, and a more thorough rebuilding took place between 1744 and 1750, when the present timbered church was raised by master builder Jon Andersson of Åsenhöga. Pews were added in 1745 and a gallery in 1748.

The church originally had red-painted facades and a shingled roof. In 1763 an older bell-stage was moved to the west gable and incorporated as the base of a tower, later crowned with an enclosed lantern. In the early nineteenth century the exterior was given a more neoclassical appearance, with white-painted panelling intended to suggest a stone building.

Inside, the church retains a bright, distinctly Gustavian character. The broad nave is covered by a flat white boarded vault, and the walls were lined with fabric-backed paper and divided by pilasters. Old painted ceiling boards from the earlier building were reused as panelling in the porch. The gallery front carries naive folk-art paintings of the apostles, attributed to the district painter Olof Berggren and dating from the time of construction.

Among the furnishings, the pulpit dates from 1806 and the earlier altarpiece from some decades before, both attributed to the woodcarver Sven Nilsson Morin. A wooden font was bought from a local furniture factory in 1940, and an early medieval gravestone is kept beneath the gallery. A painting of the Trinity, thought to be by Detlef Ross, was given to the church in 1769. The smaller of the two bells dates from 1608 and was recast in 1830; the other was bought in 1734 and recast in 1817.

The church has had several organs. A second-hand instrument was installed around 1860, later sold on to another parish, and in 1889 a new organ by E. A. Setterquist & Son of Örebro was built and inaugurated that November. In 1974 a new mechanical organ by Västbo Orgelbyggeri was installed, reusing the visible 1889 organ case.
