Bergviks kyrka stands beside Lake Bergviken in Gävleborg, a relatively young church consecrated in 1915. Built in national romantic and jugend style, it remains a striking and typical example of early twentieth-century Swedish church architecture.

Bergvik was, in the late nineteenth century, a significant industrial community, and the church owes its existence to local philanthropy. In 1889 the works manager Uno Ulin bequeathed a substantial sum towards building a church in the town; the project moved forward only after he and his wife had died, and construction took place in 1914–1915 to designs by the architect Fredrik Falkenberg. Archbishop Nathan Söderblom consecrated the new church in June 1915.

The building combines a nave with a narrower, rounded chancel to the east and a tower to the west, with a sacristy attached south of the chancel. Its style blends neo-Gothic, jugend and national romantic elements, and the chancel is notable for decorative work by the Stockholm artist Yngve Lundström, along with a large window designed by Falkenberg himself.

Among the furnishings, visitors may notice a passion crucifix from Oberammergau on the altar, and a soapstone font with a silver basin donated in 1920. Most of the church silver dates from the 1915 consecration.

The organ, built in 1915 by Erik Henrik Erikson of Gävle and enlarged in 1949, sits within an older Baroque-style case thought to date from the 1760s, likely made in Jämtland—an interesting survival predating the church itself by well over a century.
