Revesjö kyrka stands on a hill by Kyrkesjön in Svenljunga kommun, Västra Götaland, on a site used for worship since medieval times. The present building, a well-preserved example of Neoclassical church architecture in the diocese, replaced its medieval predecessor in the mid-19th century.

A church is recorded on this site from the Middle Ages, though little of that earlier building survives beyond a few precious objects. The medieval church was noted for its unusually thick walls, said to measure around 1.8 metres, and stood largely unaltered for centuries despite various proposals for change. Electricity was only installed as late as 1950, reflecting a long local tradition of cautious, gradual alteration.

The medieval church was eventually replaced by the current building, constructed in 1846 by master builder Johan Wennberg of Sandhult socken and consecrated in 1849. Built of stone in Neoclassical style, it has a rectangular nave with a semicircular chancel to the east and a tower to the west, with a sacristy added to the north. The exterior walls are roughcast and painted white, the nave and sacristy roofs are covered with clay tiles, and the chancel roof and tower spire are clad in copper, the tower topped by a small lantern and gilded cross.

Inside, the fittings were made by Johannes Andersson of Mjöbäck in the decorative style associated with Borås, which became popular in the area after a major fire there in 1827. The pulpit and altar structure are thought to be his work as well. The altarpiece, depicting Christ leaving the tomb, was added in 1951 by the Borås artist John Hedæus.

Among the church's most significant treasures is its sandstone font, carved in one piece in the 13th century and decorated with interlace, lilies, trefoils and other plant ornament in flat relief — a striking survival from the medieval church that once stood here. The communion chalice from the earlier building is also said to remain in use.

The larger of the two bells was cast in 1530 by the so-called Nittorp master and bears an inscribed prayer in old Swedish; the smaller bell was acquired in 1960 following a donation from the church's bell-ringer. The organ, built in 1956, incorporates a case from an earlier 1868 instrument.
