Håle-Tängs kyrka is a distinctive church in Särestads församling, Västra Götaland, built as a shared replacement for two demolished medieval village churches. Its unusual central plan and mixed inheritance of older fittings make it a rewarding stop for visitors interested in nineteenth-century church building.

During the nineteenth century many small medieval parish churches in Sweden were pulled down, including the old churches of Håle and Täng, simple tower-less buildings in Romanesque style. Memorial stones recall that these churches stood until the early 1880s. Rather than rebuild separately, the two parishes joined together to construct a single new church, designed by the architect Emil Viktor Langlet, which was completed for consecration in 1883 or 1884 (sources differ slightly on the exact year).

Langlet gave the building an unusual central plan: four short transept arms radiate from a central space topped by a bell tower rising directly above the crossing, rather than a conventional west-front tower. This centralised layout is the church's most striking architectural feature and reflects a design approach used in a number of Swedish churches from this period.

Much of the church's furnishing was carried over from the two older buildings rather than newly made. The altarpiece originally stood in Täng's old church, said to have been installed there in the early 1700s (one source gives 1698, another 1704), and has since been conserved and repainted. The pulpit was made new for the current church but incorporates carved allegorical female figures rescued from the old pulpit in Täng. The font is medieval, in sandstone, from Håle's former church, and the communion chalices and bells from both older churches were also transferred to the new building.

The organ was built in 1904 by Carl Axel Härngren, adding a later layer to the church's mixed inheritance of older and newer fittings.

The church underwent a substantial renovation between 2009 and 2011 and was rededicated on 20 November 2011, reportedly in a service led by Bishop Erik Aurelius, before returning to use.
