The church was designed by architect Rolf Bergh and completed in 1977. Its exterior is fairly traditional in character, clad in red-painted board panelling beneath a steep gabled roof covered with tarred boarding. Two low wings, housing the parish hall, project from the main building, and a freestanding timber bell tower stands nearby.
The interior underwent substantial alteration in 1994, when a separate chancel was added and a sliding-wall arrangement created a flexible entrance hall, or 'church square', opening onto the main worship space. This work considerably changed the character of the original 1970s interior. Surviving from the earlier design are the windows in the altar wall and a baptismal window by Uno Lindberg, though both now occupy a less prominent position than before, since the chancel itself was relocated during the rebuilding.
An organ with three stops and a single manual was built in 1970 by the firm Setterquist & Son. According to a Diocese of Skara organ survey, this original instrument was sold or disposed of around 2002, and the church has since relied on a digital organ.
