Just west of Backens kyrka lies Backens kapell, which is used for funerals. The chapel seats 75 people.
The chapel's detailed window "Den heliga staden" (The Holy City) was designed by Yngve Lundström. The chapel's interior is kept in a restrained 1920s Classicist style with Baroque features.
The chapel was formerly called "Hoppets kapell" (Chapel of Hope).
