The church was designed by Gothenburg architect P. O. Wallner, with the interior arranged by fellow Gothenburg designer Pelle Frenning. Its plan is an unusual tall octagon, echoing the layout of a basilica, with a lantern tower above the nave allowing daylight to fall into the church hall from overhead. An open bell tower stands separately in the entrance courtyard, and the church building is connected to a parish hall and youth centre to the east.
The altar, altar rail, pulpit and font are all made of wood, produced by a fine joinery workshop at Nääs near Alingsås, giving the furnishings a coordinated, crafted appearance.
The altarpiece, known as The Vinedresser – The Tree of Praise, was painted by Harry Svensson and installed in October 1995, some five years after the church itself was consecrated.
The church's organ history has seen some change: an organ transferred from Götalunden church in 1992 was later donated, in 2002, to a congregation in Latvia, and a digital organ has been used since.
