Torps kyrka is a white stone church standing on a hill on the island of Orust, in Göteborg diocese. Built in the late 1860s, it replaced a mediaeval predecessor and retains striking older furnishings alongside a local legend of an ancient cave chapel nearby.

The present church was built between 1868 and 1871, replacing an earlier mediaeval stone church that had become too small for the growing parish. Local tradition holds that an even older cult site once stood here, and nearby a cave known as Lundeberga kyrka is said to be where the first Christians in the area held their services, with a large stone at its far end popularly called the Predikostolen, or pulpit.

The church was built in whitewashed stone, with sources differing over whether the architect or builder was A.R. Petterson (or Pettersson) and whether L.H. Arvidsson was also involved as builder. It has a rectangular nave with a straight-ended chancel to the east, a sacristy set within a semicircular apse, and a west tower with a porch at ground level, topped by a lantern and spire.

Two notable furnishings, a carved oak pulpit and an altarpiece, both probably date from 1645 and originally stood in the old mediaeval church. They were not reinstalled in the current building until 1950. The altarpiece is richly decorated with three superimposed panels showing the Annunciation, the Nativity and the Crucifixion, flanked by figures of Moses and Aaron; between 1933 and 1950 a painting by Gerda Höglund served as the altarpiece instead. The pulpit, also carved, painted and gilded, depicts the four evangelists or apostles on its sides. The octagonal oak font, in neo-Gothic style, dates from 1920 and has a nickel-silver basin. A thirteenth-century crucifix associated with the church is held on deposit at the Gothenburg museum, with a copy displayed in the church itself. The painter Nils Wedel is buried in the churchyard. Three bells hang in the tower: the oldest, cast in 1774 by Abraham Wetterholtz, is cracked and no longer used; a second was cast in Stockholm around 1903–04, and the youngest in 1947. The oldest part of the churchyard has been in use since mediaeval times, with later extensions recorded in 1884 and 1984. The church's organs have an involved history: sources differ on the details of the main organ, built in 1885 with a façade by Gustaf Pettersson and later restored, and on the smaller choir organ, whose origin, date and specification are given inconsistently across accounts.
