The church was built in 1970 of Danish white brick and pine, to designs by the architect Alf Berne. Like many churches built in this later part of the 20th century, it was constructed with parish premises and the church hall under the same roof. The style is functionalist, with flat roofs and undecorated façades. The altar, pulpit, font and pews have been designed in a unified style.
The artist Erik Höglund, working in close collaboration with the architect, was responsible for the artistic decoration, in the form of an altarpiece in glass and a window ornament in wood.
A free-standing bell tower was erected beside the church.
The church was extended in 1986.
