Vretens kyrka, also known as Edhems kyrka, is a stone church in the village of Vreten in Skövde municipality, Västra Götaland. Consecrated in 1873, it now serves the Värsås-Varola-Vretens parish within the Diocese of Skara.

The church was designed by the architect Ernst Jacobsson and built in 1873 as a replacement for two older places of worship: the medieval church at Ljunghem, which was demolished, and the church at Edåsa, which was taken out of use. Plans originally called for Edåsa church to be pulled down too, but it was instead restored and returned to use between 1938 and 1940. The building took its present name in 1995, when the parishes of Ljunghem and Edåsa were merged to form Vretens församling.

Architecturally, the church follows a Latin cross plan, with a rectangular nave flanked by broad north and south transepts. To the east lies a chancel of the same width as the nave, terminating in a lower, narrower five-sided apse. An octagonal tower stands to one side at the south-west corner of the nave, while a brick porch to the north houses the main entrance. The nave and transepts are covered by gabled roofs finished with flat clay tiles.

Among the furnishings, the font dates from the medieval period, with a cylindrical basin set on a cone-shaped foot — a survivor from one of the earlier churches the building replaced. The pulpit, in Neo-Gothic style, has a many-sided body painted in imitation oak grain alongside black and English red tones. The wooden altar, from 1873, is similarly finished with imitation wood-grain paintwork.

The altarpiece was painted in 1916 by the artist Endis Bergström. The organ, standing on the north side of the organ loft, was built around 1930 by the Lidköping firm Nordfors & Co.
