Klöveskogs kyrka today belongs to Bolstad parish. The church is situated as a scenic oasis on Hjortens udde by Lake Vänern.

The construction of Klöveskogs kyrka was carried out entirely through voluntarily collected funds.

For a long time, the population on the peninsula in the north-eastern part of Grinstad socken had wished for a burial ground of their own, as it was a long way to the parish church. A driving force behind the creation of the new church was the vicar Lars Magnus Engström. He is said to have left his mark on church life throughout southern Dalsland and devoted himself to extensive Christian writing. During his time as vicar of Bolstad pastorat, a new church at Timmervik was also built.

Klöveskog's white-plastered brick church was erected in 1930-33 to designs by the architect Göran Pauli. The church, which was inaugurated in 1934, has undergone few changes since it was built. It has a traditional form with a nave, west tower and sacristy to the east, largely modelled on the church at Bolstad with its powerful medieval tower.

The church interior is rectangular with a three-sided chancel to the east and an organ gallery to the west. The furnishings are traditionally designed with modern touches typical of the period. Prominent in the church interior are the enclosed pew blocks attached to the walls, the smooth wooden panels of the altar rail and gallery barrier, and the round windows in the doors to the church porch.

The altarpiece consists of a painting with a frame. The painting was made around 1930 by the artist Gösta Sundvall from Mellerud. The motif is the Crucifixion of Jesus. The pulpit is relatively simply designed. It has a canopy crowned by a gilded cross on a globe. The church's font is made of wood and was purchased in 1995, carved by the artist Björn Köllner.

The gallery is supported by columns and has a pronounced projecting semicircular central section. The gallery organ was made in 1964 and was acquired here in 2002. The facade is designed in a manner typical of the period's modernism and is dominated by lacquered wooden surfaces.
