Kvarterskyrkan Mariehäll was established by Bromma parish in the autumn of 2015 as a smaller rented premises at the junction of Bällstavägen and Tappvägen in Mariehäll. It was created to serve as a local meeting point rather than a traditional place of worship in the historic sense.
The building contains a small worship area alongside a communal space, reflecting its dual role as both a modest church and a social hub for the neighbourhood. Its activities have reportedly included regular sessions for parents at home with young children, a seniors' café held one morning a week, and afternoon sessions for younger schoolchildren ("miniorer").
Bromma parish previously owned Mariehällskyrkan, a separate church building located across the street, though that connection is now historical rather than functional. Kvarterskyrkan Mariehäll itself has no long architectural or ecclesiastical history, having been purpose-established as a contemporary parish facility.
